There is a lot of buzz around the terms Aging in Place and Home Modifications. Everyone agrees that the premise seems like the right solution for our elders and those with mobility challenges but what exactly is considered Home Modifications? How do we effectively meet the challenges of Aging in Place evolution?

This session will explain what can be done to existing homes to provide greater mobility and independence and reduce falls. We will educate you on who the experts are for this type of service and how you can find them. We will reveal why we will have 13 million Americans who are over 65 between now and 2030 who will not have adequate, safe housing unless we modify existing homes.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Share the types of modifications and services available for Home Safety upgrades, and restored accessibility.
  • Reveal where one can find contractors and service companies who are experienced, certified, and have proven track records in the communities you serve
  • Understand the Home assessment and team concept for a successful outcome for the clients you serve
  • Share the challenges ahead that we all face as the Aging the America continues and the lack of adequate safe senior housing grows.
